Cirque Du Soleil - Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour

I love Michael Jackson. And this is no ordinary fan love. This is borderline obsession. You've seen those people at his concerts crying, passing out, being dragged away by EMT. I totally get them! I've always felt deeply connected to his music, his message . I hoped I would be able to see Michael in concert and witness the magic for myself but he died before I got that chance . When I heard Cirque Du Soleil was doing an all-Michael show, I jumped at the chance to see it . I bought the tickets in October of 2010 and after 18 months of waiting I finally saw the show on Monday!!!

I went down the the Wells Fargo Center with my friend Stephanie and all the Michael fans were out and dressed for the occasion.

The show was amazing! Michael's greatest songs were the perfect backdrop to the spectacular acrobatics and dance sequences.  Some highlights for me :

Dangerous- featuring a female acrobat/pole dancer surrounded by gangsters. This woman's moves were sick.

Human Nature - A breathtaking show of areial acrobats shimmering with colored lights to one of MJ's most hauntingly beautiful songs.

I wish I could add pics from every song, but just take my word for it when I tell you it was awesome.

After the show, Stephanie and I were on the look out for Michael impersonators cuz I really wanted to meet one but there were no impersonators anywhere  !! I did find a hustle man selling sparkly gloves though. Of course I bought it!!!

Great as the show was, it didn't come close to capturing the magic you would expect from a real MJ concert  or even the rehearsals we saw on This is It. But it was a definitely a beautiful tribute  !!! To find upcoming shows, check out  www.cirquedusoleil.com.
